Health and Safety Policy Statement

As Managing Director of FINN Contracts (the company), I accept my responsibilities for health and safety as stated in this FINN Contracts Policy.

The company is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the health, safety, welfare, and wellbeing of all its employees, visitors, contractors, and others who may be impacted by our operations.

We recognise the significance of effectively managing health, safety, and welfare in the workplace. This policy ensures that we comply with our statutory obligations as outlined in Section 2(2) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, including the following commitments:

  • Provision of Safe Premises and Worksites: Ensuring our premises and worksites are maintained in a condition that is safe, including the provision and maintenance of safe entry and exit points.

  • Safe Plant, Equipment, and Systems of Work: Providing and maintaining safe plant, equipment, and work systems for all employees.

  • Training and Supervision: Ensuring employees receive appropriate training, supervision, information, and instruction to enable them to work safely.

  • Safe Handling of Substances: Ensuring all substances and articles used, handled, stored, transported, and disposed of are managed safely.

  • Suitable Work Environments and Welfare Facilities: Providing and maintaining appropriate working environments, facilities, and welfare arrangements for employees.

Responsibilities for Safety Standards

All levels of management within FINN Contracts are responsible for maintaining safety standards. We achieve this by:

  • Assessing risks and implementing controls.

  • Removing hazards wherever possible.

  • Establishing and adhering to safe systems of work.

Employee Commitment

Health and safety performance improvements require full commitment from both management and employees. Every employee is expected to cooperate fully with the company in the spirit and operation of this policy by:

  • Working safely, following the training and instructions provided.

  • Complying with safe systems of work and procedures.

  • Reporting all accidents and assisting with accident investigations.

  • Using personal protective equipment (PPE) and clothing as identified and required.

  • Taking care of their own safety and the safety of others who may be affected by their actions.

Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its relevance and effectiveness.
